Ms Nithya S has been in the IP field for over 7 years. With a background in Physics, she drafts patent specifications for clients, conducts prior art searches and also attends to national examination reports and international office actions.
She handles trademark, patent & copyright prosecution and attends to Trade Marks Registry matters at the RKD Chennai office. She has appeared and argued in opposition, show cause, rectification and revocation cases before the Trade Marks Registry and the IPAB. She has also appeared and argued in trademark & patent infringement and passing-off cases before the Madras High Court.
She is active in conducting IP awareness seminars and workshops for academic and industrial organizations all over South India India.
She is a member of the Women’s Lawyer Association, Madras High Court and a member of the Intellectual Property Bar Association, Madras.
