Arvind Patre is a Senior Patent Attorney at R.K. Dewan & Co. Arvind Patre has 29 years of experience in the IP field. He worked at various positions at the Patent Office. He has rich working experience at different sections, divisions like Examination, Supervision of Examination reports as a Controller, Hearing Patent matters, Administration, Publication, Ministerial and Parliamentary matters. After serving for about 25 years of service at the Patent Office, he opted for Volunteer Retirement from the post of Joint Controller of Patents and Designs. He was also a Head of office in the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trademarks, Mumbai. Currently, Mr. Arvind Patre is handling prosecution of Patent application related matters including prosecution of Patent Examination Reports and Hearing reports, Drafting, Litigation and placed in Patent Division of Pune Office. Mr. Arvind Patre has Masters in Organic Chemistry and has a Law Degree.
He has a good International Exposure as well in the field of Intellectual Property. He was part of training related to “Streamlining Search and Examination Procedure” at the European Patent Office (EPO), Munich, Germany, World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO), Geneva, Switzerland and German Patent Office (GPO), Munich, Germany in 1999. Represented India in Conference on “Role of Intellectual Property Offices (IPOs) in promoting innovation, business competitiveness and Economic Growth” at the Japan Patent Office (JPO), Tokyo, Japan in February, 2012.Represented India in WIPO-JPO-PHIPO Inter-regional Workshop on “Free and Open Search Tools for Patent Analysis” at the Philippines Intellectual Property Office (PHIPO), Manila, Philippines in November 2015.
